තත්කාලයෙන් රෝග සහ දෝෂ හඳුනාගන්නා අයුරු
දක්ෂ ජ්යොතිර්වේදියෙකුට කේන්ද්ර සටහනක් (වේලාපත්කඩය) ලැබුණු සැණින් ඒ පිළිබඳ යම් නිගමනයකට එළඹිය හැකි වුවත්, එම නිගමනය ප්රත්යක්ෂ කරගැනීම සඳහා තත්කාලය භාවිත කරයි.
බොහෝ විට ජ්යොතිර්වේදියෙකු වෙත රෝගියා පැමිණෙන්නේ නැත. ඒ වෙනුවට සමීප හිතවතෙකු වේලාපත්කඩය රැගෙන එයි. එලෙස පැමිණෙන අය රෝගය හෝ රෝගියා පිළිබඳ විස්තර මුලින් පවසන්නේ නැත. ඒ, ජ්යොතිර්වේදියාගේ දක්ෂතාව මැන බැලීමටය. එවැනි අවස්ථාවක රෝගියා පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු නොදැන වුවද, උදාවී ඇති තත්කාල ලග්නය සහ ග්රහ බලපෑම් මත රෝගයේ ස්වභාවය නිවැරදිව ප්රකාශ කළ හැකිය. ග්රහ පිහිටීම් අනුව ඒවා ගුප්ත දෝෂ ද නැතහොත් වෙනත් රෝගාබාධ ද යන්න හඳුනාගැනීමට ජ්යොතිර්වේදියාට හැකියාව තිබිය යුතුය.
චර, තිර සහ උභය රාශිවල බලපෑම
මෙහිදී මූලික සිද්ධාන්තයක් ලෙස චර, තිර, උභය රාශි පිළිබඳ දැනුම ඉතා වැදගත් වේ. තත්කාලය යනු නොබලා, ස්පර්ශ නොකර නිශ්චිත අනාවැකි කීමේ “තෙවන ඇස” වැනිය.
- චර රාශි: මේෂ, කටක, තුලා, මකර.
- තත්කාල ලග්නය මෙම රාශියකට අයත් වී, රෝගියාගේ ලග්නයට ද සම්බන්ධ වේ නම්, රෝගය සුව වීමට කල් ගතවන බවත්, ඖෂධ පත්තියම් නොවන බවත් පෙන්නුම් කරයි. ශරීරයේ ඇතැම් කොටස් පණ නැති වීමටද ඉඩ ඇත.
තත්කාල කේන්ද්රයේ 6 වැන්න අධ්යයනය කිරීමෙන් රෝගය වැළඳී ඇති ස්ථානය (හිස, පපුව, අත හෝ කකුල ආදිය) නිවැරදිව කිව හැකිය. 8 වැන්නට ශනි සහ රාහුගේ බලපෑම ඇත්නම් එය හදි හූනියමක් විය හැකි අතර, 8 වැන්නට ශනි-කුජ බලපෑම හෝ 22 වන දෙර්කාණාධිපති සම්බන්ධ වේ නම් මරණීය අපල පෙන්නුම් කරයි.
සුවය ලැබීම සහ ග්රහ දෘෂ්ටි
තත්කාල ලග්නයේ 7 සහ 8 යන ස්ථානවල ශුභ ග්රහයන් හෝ ශුභ දෘෂ්ටි පවතී නම් සහ එම ග්රහයන් යෝග කාරකව චර රාශිවල සිටී නම්, රෝගියාට ඉක්මන් සුවය ලැබෙන බව පැවසිය හැකිය. එසේම සඳු 3, 4, 6, 10, 11 යන ස්ථානයක සිටීම ද ශුභදායකය. එහෙත් එම ස්ථානවලම සඳු දුර්වලව පාපී දෘෂ්ටි ලබන්නේ නම් රෝගය සුව වීම ප්රමාද වේ.
නිවසේ දෝෂ හඳුනාගැනීම
සිංහ හෝ වෘශ්චික වැනි ලග්න තත්කාල වූ විට, එම තැනැත්තාගේ නිවස සහ වටපිටාව පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු අනාවරණය කරගත හැකිය. නිවසේ ළිඳ හෝ කුස්සිය පිහිටි දිශාව පවා මෙයින් කිව හැකිය.
- සිංහ ලග්නය: නිවස පිරිසිදු නොවන බව පෙන්වයි.
- කන්යා ලග්නය: භූමියට ප්රේත බැල්ම හෝ ප්රේත දෝෂ ඇති බව කියැවේ. මෙහිදී ආහාර ඉක්මනින් පිළුණු වීම, නිතර අඬදබර ඇතිවීම, තෙල් කූඹින් හෝ සර්පයන් ගැවසීම සහ අද්භූත ගන්ධයන් හැමීම සිදුවිය හැක.
දේව ආකර්ෂණය සහ ප්රේත දෝෂ
සඳු සහ ගුරු 1, 4, 7, 10 යන කේන්ද්රස්ථානවල සිටී නම්, ඔහු දේව ආකර්ෂණය මත යැපෙන්නෙකි. කේතු 1, 4, 7, 10 යන ස්ථානයක සිට එයට ශනි සම්බන්ධ වේ නම්, එය ස්ථිර වශයෙන්ම ප්රේත දෝෂයකි.

කාලය නිර්ණය කිරීම
සුවවන කාලය ගණනය කිරීමේදී ග්රහයන්ගේ ගමන සැලකිල්ලට ගනී. ශනිගෙන් වර්ෂයක් ද, රවිගෙන් අයනයක් ද, ගුරුගෙන් මාසයක් ද, කුජගෙන් දින ගණනක් ද වශයෙන් ගණනය කර සුවවන දිනය ප්රකාශ කළ හැකිය.
පංච පක්ෂි ක්රමය භාවිතයෙන් රෝගියාගේ හෝ වින කළ අයගේ නමේ මුල් අකුර පවා සෙවිය හැකිය. ඒ සඳහා තත්කාලයේ උදාවන පක්ෂියා (කාක, පිංගල, මයුර ආදී) සහ 2, 8 ස්ථාන උපයෝගී කරගනු ලැබේ.
ජ්යොතිෂය යනු පොත පතින් පමණක් නොව, සසර පුණ්ය බලය මත පිහිටා ප්රගුණ කළ යුතු ගැඹුරු විෂයයකි. දක්ෂ ජ්යොතිර්වේදියෙකු යනු සීමා මායිම්වලට කොටු නොවූ පුළුල් දැක්මක් ඇත්තෙකු විය යුතුය.

Identifying Diseases and Afflictions through ‘Thathkala’ Astrology
An expert astrologer can reach a conclusion the moment a horoscope (birth chart) is presented. However, to verify and confirm those findings, the method of ‘Thathkala’ (Horary Astrology) is utilized.
Often, the astrologer does not see the patient or the person suffering from the affliction. Usually, a close relative brings the horoscope and may refrain from describing the illness initially, often to test the astrologer’s proficiency. In such cases, based on the planetary positions at the time of inquiry (Thathkala), an astrologer must be able to identify the nature of the ailment—whether it is a physical illness or a mystical/unseen affliction.
The Influence of Chara, Thira, and Ubhaya Signs
A fundamental principle in this practice is a deep understanding of Chara (Movable), Thira (Fixed), and Ubhaya (Dual) signs. Thathkala acts like a “Third Eye”—a method of predicting specific truths without physical examination or touch.
- Chara (Movable) Signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn.
- If the Thathkala Lagna (Ascendant at the time of inquiry) falls into one of these signs and connects with the patient’s birth sign, it indicates that the illness will persist for a long time and medicines may not be effectively absorbed by the body. It may even lead to paralysis or loss of sensation in certain body parts.
By examining the 6th House of the Thathkala chart, one can pinpoint the affected area—whether it is the head, chest, hands, or legs. If Saturn (Shani) and Rahu influence the 8th House, it suggests a mystical affliction (spells or charms). An influence of Saturn and Mars on the 8th House, or the involvement of the 22nd Drekkana Lord, may even indicate a fatal outcome.
Recovery and Planetary Aspects
If the 7th and 8th Houses of the Thathkala chart have auspicious aspects or the presence of benefic planets, and if those planets are Yogakaraka (functional benefics) in Chara signs, a quick recovery can be predicted. Furthermore, the presence of the Moon (Chandra) in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 10th, or 11th houses is considered auspicious. However, if the Moon is weak or afflicted by malefic aspects in these positions, the recovery will be delayed.
Identifying Household Afflictions
When Leo (Simha) or Scorpio (Vrishchika) becomes the Thathkala Lagna, specific details about the patient’s home and surroundings can be revealed, including the placement of the well or the kitchen.
- Leo Ascendant: Indicates that the house is not a clean or sanctified place.
- Virgo Ascendant: Suggests that the land or house is under the influence of ‘Pretha Dosha’ (spirits). Signs of this include food spoiling quickly, frequent quarrels, an influx of ants or snakes, and unexplained odors.
Divine Grace vs. Mystical Afflictions
If the Moon and Jupiter (Guru) are placed in the quadrants (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th), the person is blessed with ‘Deva Akarshana’ (Divine Attraction). If Kethu is in a quadrant and connected with Saturn, it confirms a ‘Pretha Dosha’ (Ancestral/Spirital affliction).
The method of the affliction can be identified through the aspects of Mercury (Budha) and Jupiter:
- Saturn aspecting Mercury: An affliction sent from a distance.
- Aspect of Jupiter: A defect within the house itself.
- Mars aspecting Jupiter: Something buried in the earth.
- Sun aspecting Jupiter: Something heated or burnt.
- Rahu aspecting Mercury: An act performed at a ferry or a crossing point.
Determining the Timeline
The timing of recovery is calculated based on planetary transits. One can predict the duration using specific planetary cycles: Saturn represents years, the Sun represents seasons (Ayana), Jupiter represents months, and Mars represents days.
By using the Pancha Pakshi (Five Birds) system, one can even identify the first letter of the patient’s name or the person who caused the harm. This involves analyzing the ruling bird (Crow, Owl, Peacock, etc.) at the time of inquiry along with the 2nd and 8th house positions.
Astrology is a profound science that must be mastered not only through books but through the merits (Punya) accumulated over lifetimes. An expert astrologer should be a person of broad vision, not confined by narrow boundaries.
