Lord Shiva and the Science of Oddisa Tantra
While traveling by air, a profound realization regarding the science of levitation and ascension—known as Oddisa—came to mind. Lord Shiva, the primordial guru, bestowed this sacred knowledge of ‘Uddisha’ upon a select few of his disciples and followers. Among those graced with this wisdom were the Sage Maya, Lord Kubera, and Lankeshwar Ravana.
The most comprehensive exposition of this science is found within the Shiva-Ravana Samvada (The Dialogue between Shiva and Ravana). These teachings were later meticulously recorded by King Ravana himself. Within this dialogue, Lord Shiva imparts deep counsel and the core principles of Oddisa, encompassing a vast array of subjects across 3,420 Shlokas. These include Akarshana (Attraction), Rasa Vidya (Alchemy), Shatru Stambhana (Paralyzing Enemies), Vashi Karma (Subjugation), and Marana (Destruction).
To preserve the sanctity of the true ‘Sri Vidya’ from the uninitiated, Lord Shiva originally created 64 Tantras. Later, at the earnest request of the Rishis, he revealed another 63, bringing the total to 127 Shiva-Tantras. These scriptures possess the power to fulfill all worldly desires of mankind.
The Oddisa Tantra, specifically preached to Ravana, contains the sacred rituals and worship of Shri Kali and Shri Ardhrapati Devi. It delves into various forms of exorcism, the mastery over Yakshinis and Bhutinis, Indrajala (Illusionary arts), and diverse Ayurvedic treatments. Lord Shiva’s mandate was clear: this knowledge must be hidden from those who would misuse it and should only be offered to those who seek to use it correctly for the upliftment of human civilization.
These Tantras have the potential to elevate a practitioner to a supreme state of being. They contain secrets of Sadhan, Siddhi, Sphotana, Shubha Labha, Mohana, and numerous Rasa Vimana Yantras (Alchemical Aerial Vehicles). To successfully master the Oddisa, the divine blessings of Mother Kali are essential. While fragments of Oddisa are available today in Sinhala PDF formats, they often contain significant errors and intentionally omit the hidden keys and commentaries (Tika) required for true practice.
Before embarking on this path, one must first prostrate before Lord Shiva, praying that these arts and sciences be established for the ultimate well-being of all beings in the universe.
අහස් යානයක ගමන් කරමින් සිටින මොහොතක, ඉහළට එසවීමේ විද්යාව හෙවත් ‘උඩ්ඩීසය’ පිළිබඳ වැදගත් කරුණක් සිහි විය. මහා ශිව දෙවියන් විසින් මෙම උඩ්ඩීස විද්යාව තම අනුගාමිකයන්ට සහ ශිෂ්යයන්ට ප්රදානය කළ අවස්ථා කිහිපයකි. එම භාග්යය ලත් පිරිස අතර මය සෘෂිවරයා, කුබේරයන් සහ රාවණ රජු ප්රධාන වේ.
මෙහි වඩාත් සවිස්තරාත්මක විග්රහයක් හමුවන්නේ ‘ශිව-රාවණ’ සංවාදය තුළය. රාවණ රජු විසින් එම කරුණු නැවත ලේඛනගත කරන ලදී. මෙම සංවාදය හරහා ශිව දෙවියන් විසින් රාවණාට උපදෙස්, දැනුම සහ උඩ්ඩීස විද්යාව ලබා දෙන ලදී. පරිච්ඡේද රාශියකින් සහ ශ්ලෝක 3,420කින් සමන්විත මෙහි; ආකර්ෂණ, රස විද්යා, ශතෘ ස්තම්භන, වශී කර්ම සහ මාරණ ආදී වූ අතිශය බලගතු විද්යාවන් අන්තර්ගත වේ.
ලෝකයාගෙන් සැබෑ ‘ශ්රී විද්යා’ ජයග්රහණයන් සැඟවීම පිණිස ශිව දෙවියන් මුලින් ‘තන්ත්ර’ හැට හතරක් (64) නිර්මාණය කළේය. පසුව සෘෂිවරුන්ගේ ඉල්ලීම පරිදි තවත් තන්ත්ර 63ක් දේශනා කළ අතර, ඒ අනුව ශිව දෙවියන් විසින් දේශිත මුළු තන්ත්ර සංඛ්යාව 127කි. මනුෂ්යයාගේ සියලු ලෞකික ආශාවන් ඉටුකිරීමේ ශක්තිය මෙම තන්ත්ර සතුය.
ශිව දෙවියන් ලංකේෂ්වර රාවණාට දේශනා කළ මෙම ‘උඩ්ඩීස’ තන්ත්රය, ශ්රී කාලි මෑණියන් සහ ශ්රී ආර්ද්රපති දේවිය වන්දනා කරන චාරිත්ර විධිවලින් සමන්විත වේ. එහි විවිධ භූත විද්යාවන්, යක්ෂණී හා භූතිනී සිද්ධීන්, ඉන්ද්රජාලික ජයග්රහණ මෙන්ම විවිධ ආයුර්වේද ප්රතිකාර ක්රම ද ඇතුළත්ය.
මනුෂ්ය ශිෂ්ටාචාරයට හානියක් නොවන පරිදි, මෙය නිවැරදිව භාවිත කරන අය සොයා පිරිනමන ලෙසත්, අන් අයගෙන් මෙය රහසිගතව තබා ගන්නා ලෙසත් ශිව දෙවියන් උපදෙස් දුන්හ. පුද්ගලයෙකු උත්තරීතර තත්ත්වයට පත් කිරීමට මෙම තන්ත්රයන්ට හැකියාව ඇත. සාධන, සිද්ධි, ස්ඵෝටන, ශුභ ලාභ, ආකර්ෂණ හා මෝහන වැනි දෑ මෙන්ම රස විමාන යන්ත්ර රාශියක් මෙහි අන්තර්ගත වේ.
